Fixing lateral play 5DEV Trail Enduro and All Around Pedal 

 

Pedal Side-to-Side Play Fix

This is typically a straightforward adjustment. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Access the Small Inserted Bolt

    • Locate the black pedal cap on the outer side of the pedal body (opposite the crank threads).
    • Use a 6mm hex key to remove the cap.

  2. Remove the Small Bolt and Spacer

    • Using a 2.5mm hex key, fully remove the small inserted bolt.
    • Pull the assembly out from the pedal body:
      • Right pedal: Turn clockwise to remove.
      • Left pedal: Turn counterclockwise to remove.
    • A small aluminum spacer may fall out—this is normal.

  3. Apply Thread Locker

    • Apply a few drops of Blue Loctite to the threads of the small bolt.

  4. Reassemble the Pedal

    • Reinsert the aluminum spacer if it was removed.
    • Reinstall the 2.5mm bolt with fresh Loctite:
      • Right pedal: Turn counterclockwise to tighten.
      • Left pedal: Turn clockwise to tighten.

  5. Replace the Black Cap

    • Securely reinsert the black pedal cap.

This procedure should effectively eliminate any side-to-side play in the pedals.
