It's no secret World Tour GC contenders have been making the switch to shorter crank arms—and not just for marginal gains.

Shorter cranks help smooth power balance, allow a lower, more aerodynamic position, and can be a complete game-changer for riders with hip or knee mobility issues. 

After a training crash left him with a fractured tibia, we sent all-road pro Dylan Johnson a set of our 155mm RGXC cranks. Just six weeks later, he was back riding 8-10 hour a week and said he was still having a hard time pedaling on his MTB that still had 175mm cranks.

If you’ve ever thought about changing crank lengths, cost is probably the first thing that comes to mind—especially if you’ve got more than one bike. That’s why we made the Test Fit Crank. Same geometry and aesthetic as the RGXC Titanium, just made from a solid block of 7075 aluminum. They're not light—but for $200, it’s a low-risk way to see how a short crank might improve ride quality, comfort and performance for you.
